Film making class

Making videos for dog shelters class

Was a hit! Danica, Josh and Caitlin (volunteers of Brightside Animal Center) Contacted me for my knowledge of making "Piteos" for Family Dogs New Life Shelter. So I set up a two day course of gear, planning concepts, shooting, Importing, editing and exporting to web.

There was a lot of info to take in and a lot of practice to still to be had with their own equipment when they get home. To me, all went well and was a lot of fun. Below is the final video the class put together. Big thanks to Aaron Lee Photography for the use of his studio and to Danica, Josh and Caitlin for wanting to better their skills to benefit the shelter and dogs.

Makeup Lesson

Ashley Dow - Makeup Artist

I first got hired to photograph Ashley's wedding this summer. Then had the chance to get to know her on the engagement shoot, and found out she had a passion for makeup and hair. I asked her if she would like to help on a shoot I had coming up and she excitedly said yes. Really glad she did because now I have a go to for clients hair and makeup. Stoked!!

She will also be helping me this summer with high school senior photos, which I'm very excited about. Check her video's out (I'll be helping her do more of these), subscribe to her channel, and perhaps meet her on a photo shoot.

Cheers,

HP

Movember Video Winner

Tache Film Winner 2013

This video was made for Philip Bloom's Movember Tache film competition 2013 . Every moustache, as every man, has it‘s own story. That is something that distinguishes a man from others. Each man is different but unique in his own way, having his own dreams, hobbies and plans. However, no one knows exactly how much time is given. Made by Aistė Šidlauskaitė and Linas Maknys Special thanks to Ieva Salatkaitė Music by Tony Anderson

This well deserved film by Aisté and Linas is amazing. 60 seconds isn't that long to do much at all, let alone making a short film. All the top 3 winners did amazing.

A good amount of $$ was raised for prostate and testicular cancer this year and the way years have gone so far, next Movember should be even better.
